Mission Statement
The treatment programs at Janus of Santa Cruz are based on the belief that chemical dependency is a disease influenced by multiple factors of biological, psychological, social, and spiritual. These persons have the capacity to recover, to abstain from mood altering chemicals and to actualize their human potential, demonstrate personal freedom and responsibility, exercise self-determination, and to form meaningful personal relationships. The treatment programs are to achieve two long-term goals: 1. abstain from mood altering chemicals; 2. to improve life style and functioning.
