Executive Service Corps (ESC) delivers capacity building services to nonprofits throughout Southern California. Through customized consulting and coaching, our executive-level and highly-trained volunteer consultants offer the tools, support, and guidance to help our clients operate more effectively and sustainably.
If you are or have been a leader in your field, meet the criteria listed below, and would like to volunteer to make a difference in the LA nonprofit community consider becoming an ESC consultant. You will get extensive training and support from our professional staff and your peers, along with a deep sense of fulfillment in using your leadership experience to serve our community through transformative consultations.
Becoming a Consultant: 3 Traits Required
1. Executive Level Experience - You have attained a senior management position in your profession with significant leadership experience
2. Availability - You have a flexible schedule and the ability to commit at least 15-20 hours per month and travel during business hours to client locations, attend training courses, and prefer long-term projects for maximum impact
3. Personal Traits - You must demonstrate a client-centered and collaborative approach, active listening skills, understanding of how to facilitate rather than direct, a commitment to client confidentiality, and a passion for helping nonprofits achieve their missions
