Mission Statement

The Goal of the Unity Group, Inc. is to act as an advocate for battered women and their children. The group maintains a shelter and conducts various support groups aimed at giving women the resources they need to succeed both personally and professionally. We strive to foster and maintain a healthy, interactive climate, in which women and children from all walks of life can come to re-group and obtain the support they need to recover from traumatic experiences, and gain a firmer grasp on life. Our services are totally free. The Unity Group relies on revenue generated by its Thrift Shop, generous donations from benefactors, as well as the helping hands of volunteers.

The Unity Group, Inc welcomes women and children from all races, ethnicities and economic backgrounds. We strive to provide clients with a firm foundation to build upon, at no cost to them. Through the use of support groups, a friendly staff and a comfortable, home-like environment, The Unity Group is able to provide women with the tools they need to become re-acclimated.
