Description

Donoghue Elementary School is one of the University of Chicago Charter School’s four public school campuses. The University of Chicago Charter School was founded in 1998, when the University established the North Kenwood/Oakland campus. Donoghue was opened in 2005, followed by Woodlawn in 2006, and Carter G. Woodson in 2008.

Donoghue and North Kenwood/Oakland are elementary schools educating children from prekindergarten to grade five. Carter G. Woodson is a middle school, serving children from grades six to eight. Woodlawn is a secondary school educating students from grade six to twelve.

Together, the four University of Chicago Charter School campuses offer students and families a pathway to college that begins with prekindergarten and continues through high school.
