Nacel Open Door is a non-profit organization that promotes international understanding by offering homestay experiences. It also strives to support foreign language education in U.S. secondary schools by encouraging students to begin and continue foreign language study. For over 40 years, Nacel Open Door (formerly Nacel Cultural Exchanges) has provided students the opportunity to discover new things about themselves and the world around them. By encouraging young people to appreciate and enjoy life abroad, our programs prepare them to thrive amid the diversity and rapid change that mark modern life. We believe that the best way to learn about the world is to ventur out and experience it! Share your home and family with a student from abroad. You can host a teenager from another country (over 40 different countries) for four weeks in the summer or for five or ten months during the school year.
