To inform the public through education and other means of the need for sound conservation practices to promote preservation of natural resources and protection of the environment.

Description

For 62 years,PRC has been the leader in protecting, conserving, and improving Pennsylvania's natural environment. We provide environmental education programs, waste reduction and anti-litter projects, "green building" initiatives, and legislative advocacy.Some of our highlights include the creation of the "Litterbug" character that has been used world-wide in anti-litter campaigns, a nationally recognized Environmental Shopper program, the Litter CLEARinghouse Call Center, and helping to enact Pannsylvania's mandatory Recycling act.
