LifeCenter Northwest is one of 60 federally designated organ procurement organizations (OPOs) in the United States. LifeCenter serves a population of about million people in the greater Pacific Northwest (Washington, Alaska, Montana and Northern Idaho), working with 190 hospitals to implement policies supporting the process of organ donation. Donation awareness and education is provided to healthcare professionals to assist in the donation process and in helping them support family members faced with making a decision about donation. LifeCenter is also responsible for increasing public awareness about organ donation in our regions. Volunteers and staff work to enable every individual to make an informed decision about donation. The donation decision is simple - get the facts, make a decision, and talk to your family. Starting on June 16th, you can make your decision to be an organ donor known on the Living Legacy Registry (www.livinglegacyregistry.com)!
