To end homelessness for individuals, families, and communities throughout California.
PATH is a nonprofit that got its start in 1984 when a group of concerned community members came together to provide food and clothing to homeless individuals out of the basement of a Westside church. More than 30 years later, it has transformed into a statewide organization providing services at over 20 locations. Although the majority of our programs are centered in Los Angeles County, we work in communities from as far south as San Diego and as far north as San Jose. Our mission is "to end homelessness for individuals, families, and communities." And we're proud to share that we've housed over 6,000 in just three years! We've set the ambitious but attainable goal of housing 10,000 by 2020, and we are so thankful for volunteers like you who can help.
I have absolutely loved volunteering for PATH. As a student, I have been able to work with my classmates to help people suffering from homelessness in our community. My sorority has helped me make sack lunches for the Lunches for Bunches program and my family has been able to come and prepare dinner for residents through PATHCooks. Volunteering with PATH has given me a new perspective about homelessness and it helped me put a face to the issue. PATH breaks down stereotypes and helps make sure everyone gets a home. I would highly recommend volunteering with them!

I was able to speak with a gentleman that came out to a health fair at Los Angeles Community College and he sparked an interest and a desire in me to possibly volunteer my services. It appears to be a great organization in regards to helping those in needs.
