Mission Statement

We are dedicated to providing a voice to abused, neglected, and dependent children a voice in the court process. Our mission is accomplished through community awareness and support, which results in trained volunteers to advocate for the best interest of each child.

Description

Requirements to become a CASA volunteer:

* Must be at least 21 years of age.

* Must be able to pass the background checks with State Police, Child Abuse Registry and various others.

Training to become a CASA volunteer takes approximately thirty hours, which can be done as independent study or classroom, and 10 hours of court observation. Once you have become a CASA the time necessary to complete the duties on an individual case is usually ten hours per month. The role of a CASA is to be the "eyes and ears of the court" for a child.

Our children's are the most precious resources we have.We have to make sure of the environment they live and grow up in are protected from harm, and abuse.
