The Director of Program Support will determine and procure items necessary to support programs. This may include food, clothing and hygiene supplies necessary for outreach, school supplies, backpacks, giftcards for mentoring, apartment support items etc. The Director of Program support reports to the Executive Director Fosters long-term relationships with donors and sponsors to secure continued support whether Gift-In-Kind or monetary; Manage stock of supplies (often at a storage unit); Maintain local program's wish list; Maintain list of organizations (with the Director of Community Resource Development) that helps kids with specific needs (e.g. shelter, medical). Maintain program's project plan; Reports monthly Gift-In-Kind and monetary donations to the ED (or Co-EDs).

Social Media Coordinator

StandUp For Kids is committed to ending the cycle of youth homelessness. StandUp for Kids provides services under the 4 pillars of street outreach, mentoring, outreach centers and housing support. The Director of Marketing determines the marketing, communication and public relations needs for the local program. He/she will create and execute a marketing plan to inform and educate the local community about StandUp For Kids. Define marketing goals and strategies; Develop a marketing plan; Create presentations for various community groups; Write and submit articles and/or press releases; Create and maintain a marketing calendar; Coordinate marketing events (often in collaboration with the Director of Fund Development); Evaluate effectiveness of marketing strategies.

Director of Community Resource Development (& Assistant Director of Community Resource Development)

The Director of Community Resource Development manages the local program's relationship with active and potential community partners that provide services to runaway and homeless youth. This is also includes larger scale community education and advocacy. Many of the responsibilities of this position will require coordination with the Directors of Public Relations, Marketing and Adult Training. Organizes presentations and speaking engagements with civic groups, service agencies, schools and other philanthropic organizations and/or businesses; Builds a relationship with other social service providers to learn about the other services that are available to homeless and street youth; Builds a relationship with other social service providers to inform them of the services offered by StandUp For Kids; Collaborates with social service providers to assist runaway, homeless and street youth; Advocates for the needs of street youth locally, regionally and nationally.

StandUp for Kids - Worcester core mission is ending the cycle of youth homelessness. We do this , one youth at a time.

Description

StandUp for Kids - Worcester was founded in 2006. Volunteers started street outreach in 2008 and it became an official program in November of that year.

The Worcester Program opened our current outreach center in March 2014.

Current Programs:

Street Outreach twice weekly
Apartment Support for youths struggling to live independently
Outreach Center is open three times a week for 3.5 - 4 hours per session
Mental health counselor and nurse on site once a week at the Outreach Center

This is one of the most fulfilling experiences I have ever had. My fellow volunteers at StandUp for Kids in Worcester are incredibly thoughtful, passionate, and kind. When we can connect with the youth, you can see and feel their appreciation for your efforts; this is by far one of the most uplifting organizations I have ever worked with!
