Cambria Area Betterment Association

Description

We are a community non-profit formed in 1995 to transform a 13,000 sq ft building and 8 acres of land into a community, cultural and educational center to serve the citizens of this poverty area in southern Iowa. Our board members are from legal, businss and educational professions. All serve with no salary. Our goal is to offer cultural and educational opportunities to the people of southern Iowa at little or no cost to the recipients. Currently, we have implemented a music and dance program for senior citizens, a dance program for children and have art classes due to start this summer. By fall 2001, we plan to have computer and GED classes in place.
