Mission Statement

The Cleo Eulau Center is dedicated to promoting lifelong resiliency in youth by strengthening the caring capacity of the adults who influence their lives.

Description

The Cleo Eulau Center (CEC) helps teachers, education and mental health professionals understand and maximize their ability to have a positive influence on the lives of youth, in turn helping troubled students overcome adversities and grow to become caring, capable, and productive adults. CEC is one of the only agencies regionally to provide social & emotional wellness services directly to educators on school sites, and in the classroom, creating school-wide policies that promote student engagement and well-being. CEC also provides confidential, individual and group psychotherapy to at-risk students.

CEC takes its name from its founder, the highly distinguished clinical social worker,

Cleo Eulau. Her celebrated career spanned decades of service in the mental health field. CEC strives to further her commitment to excellence in working with youth with a highly qualified staff and board with expertise in the fields of education, mental health and program management

Currently, CEC serves 250 educators and 3000 students at 11 local schools in

San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.
