Description

Missouri Valley Community Action Agency (MVCAA) was founded in 1965.

MVCAA is one of 19 Community Action Agencies located in Missouri, and one of over 900 in the United States. The function of every Community Action Agency is to combat poverty in geographically designated areas. Each Agency is unique, because each is designed to address local needs.

MVCAA is a locally controlled, private, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose purpose is to sponsor and operate community action programs designed to help local residents become more self-reliant.

MVCAA’s service area has grown to include Ray, Carroll, Chariton, Lafayette, Saline, Johnson, and Pettis Counties.
