Mission Statement
To provide amputees of civil war with the tools and resources needed for a successful return to community life and gainful employment.
Description
We provide both short-term and long-term humanitarian assistance primarily to war-affected amputees and their immediate families.
Even though our concentration has been international, we have also been active here at home--supported hurricane Katrina victims, a partner with the Dallas chapter of the American Red Cross.
Sierra Care Inc is a Christian based non-profit organization that was formally launched on August 6th, 2004 as a continued effort to support victims of the brutal civil war in Sierra Leone. Today, it seeks at touching the lives of amputees all over the world. From Sierra Leone to Haiti, Angola to Liberia. Here in Dallas/Fort-Worth, we are involve with Brother Bill's Helping Hand, Genesis Women's Shelter and the Alcove Children's Shelter.
We have made several trips to Port-au-Prince, Haiti and have installed a computer learning center in Camp Cineas Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
