Mission Statement
Berkeley Peace Corps Club is an independent secular nonprofit organization centered on the core value of community development, which aims to promote community awareness and a sense of personal and social responsibility in the community and the environment.
We support Peace Corps with our mission on educating underprivileged population and improving infrastructure in underdeveloped regions around the world.
Description
Building a self-sufficient, sustained community through skills training and environmental reeducation is our key to successful economic development. Our organization allows members to learn and develop their skills from contributing their effort in helping improve economic and living conditions of the impoverished population, promote reuse & recycling as well as restore and preserve our natural wildlife refuge. Our organized events and projects are designed to help develop a strong leadership among members. We exclusively endorse secular institutions and organizations with a long-term goal of becoming the most inclusive and diverse organization in the Bay Area.
