Mission Statement

Pacifica Gardens is a project of Pacifica's Environmental Family, a registered nonprofit organization whose goal is to "increase environmental awareness in the community and in the schools." The project is made possible by the combined efforts of many committed volunteers, local donors, and grant organizations.

The Pacifica Gardens mission is to Educate, Cultivate, and Inspire the community to grow food locally.

Description

Pacifica Gardens
(Saturdays, March-November) 10 am-2 pm
830 Rosita Road, behind Linda Mar Education Center.

Saturdays between Feburary and October are workdays at Pacifica Gardens, a biointensive sustainable cooperative gardening project in the heart of Pacifica. Our community organization is transforming an old soccer field into a mini-agricultural project on land generously leased by the Pacifica School District. Our mission is to Educate, Cultivate, and Inspire.

Pacifica Gardens, a project of Pacifica's Environmental Family, currently has 41 vegetable beds, 6 native plant/herb beds, 2 flower beds and 20 fruit trees. In addition, our talented and resourceful volunteers reassembled a donated greenhouse and built 8 composters from reclaimed lumber last season. Join us as we being our second growing season in our expanding project! Everyone is welcome.
