Vision:
Paths of HOPE (Help Out of Poverty forEver) is a new initiative from Catholic Charities to combat poverty in Central and Northern Arizona. Paths of HOPE assists motivated individuals to realize their goals and to leave behind a life of uncertainty for a life of security, stability, and satisfaction.
Description
Paths of HOPE begins with a four-session financial education class from Arizona Saves, an Arizona nonprofit founded to address the decline of savings in Arizona. Financial education classes lay the ground work for effective money management and sustainable self-sufficiency.
Graduates of the Arizona Saves' financial education classes are invited to participate in Getting Ahead in a Just Getting by World (Getting Ahead) personal development and resource building workshops. This 15-session program is designed to help participants develop the resources needed to create a path for a stable, secure life.
Getting Ahead graduates motivated to continue are matched with Circles of HOPE community mentors dedicated to supporting participants towards long-term stability. By drawing on mentors with a variety of skills, backgrounds and experiences Circles of HOPE provide a comprehensive and coordinated approach to helping individuals and families.
