Description

Created with teachers, Champions for Change (C4C Program) uses young people's interest in sports heroes and explorers to engage middle school students in language arts, math and science, including many who have not yet shown interest in these topics. Inspirational stories of stars like Olympian snowboarder Shaun White draw students into learning the science behind the adventures. C4C motivates students to excel in life by reading about and even communicating with their heroes, who serve as role models for personal discipline, leadership, and wellness as well as examples of strong commitment to and work for healthy communities and environment. C4C inspires community service as each athlete is authentically involved in their own communities through environmental and social projects.
