DeWitt County Friendship Center

Description

The Friendship Center is a facility for seniors and others in the community to congregate and interact socially with others. We serve Peace Meal at our facility as well as offer outreach services through Path Senior Services to help with Circuit Breaker, IL. Cares Rx, Medicare, and other programs. We provide prescription drug assistance to those over 50 years of age that are without funds to get their medications. We offer referral service and interface with other agencies to make sure individuals get the help that they need. We provide daily activities as well as educational programs and health screenings to promote healthy living. We offer Low Vision Support groups and also Caregiver Support Groups once a month. The SHARE FOOD Program sign up and distribution is held at the Center. The Center is a very important part of this community.
