Reesie's Project Outreach (RPO) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing assistance and support to animals by helping their human guardians in need.
Our mission includes providing assistance and solutions for pet guardians of foreclosure and displacement. We are a resource for SAFE (Services to Abused Families) in which we offer temporary housing for animal companions of domestic violence by placing them in loving anonymous foster homes while the victim seeks transition into a non-violent status. RPO serves as a resource for Hospice to assist terminally ill patients and deceased patients by placing the pet companions in new loving homes when no other individual is able to step in as the new caregiver. We also offer solutions and provide resources for Military pets and guardians. We partner with the American Red Cross, Piedmont Office, to house animals of victims of disasters.
Reesie was found on his back porch alone, hungry, and confused. If it wasn’t for his ear piercing cries for help, his human neighbor would have never known he had been abandoned. When he was found, it was clear he had lost trust in humans. He would tremble when anyone came near, and though he had trusting eyes, we thought at the time he may never be adopted.
It was discovered that Reesie was a survivor of domestic violence. After several months of love, care, and multiple fosters, Reesie’s life slowly transformed. Reesie experienced first hand the horrific impact of cruelty and family abuse. Fortunately, Reesie found his happy ending, but it took lots of work and effort and only happened because people like you, gave from the heart. Today, Reesie’s life is full of fun, love, and, tummy treats. He has learned to trust humans again and like all happy dogs enjoys running to the door to greet family members and guests. Reesie’s story is the inspiration and driving force behind the development of Reesie’s Project Outreach, earning Reesie the deserving title of Ambassador to Goodwill. (RPO) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the lives of animals by helping their human guardians in need. He knows first hand the importance of this organization and hopes that you will choose to support RPO in their mission.
