Description

The print magazine at Speak Up is being developed to offer practical and enterprising solutions to the challenges of local poverty and homelessness in Charlotte, NC.

The job of distributing the magazine goes exclusively to homeless and low-income individuals, giving them a chance for legitimate, livable income.

I love that this organization gives homeless or lower income people jobs so they can get a chance in the wild world of today. To often do people end up living in poverty because no one would give them a chance. I have photographed many homeless shelters and spoken to people about how they feel about organizations shunning them and by far, I am more impressed with this magazine then anything else.
