Mission Statement

Pee Dee Youth Suicide Prevention is dedicated to preventing youth suicide and attempts by empowering communities and individuals through leadership, awareness and education; and by identifying and collaborating with support networks to save lives. Needing help is not failing, it's being human. It's OK to ask for help!

Pee Dee Youth Suicide Preventin goals:

  • Increase public awareness about suicide prevention,
  • Reduce the incidence of suicide behavior among Maine youth aged 10-24, and
  • Improve youth access to appropriate prevention and intervention services.

Description

Pee Dee Youth Suicide Prevention is dedicated to the prevention and intervention of suicides in persons 10-24 years of age. We are a Non-Profit Corporation that is run by volunteers. Suicide is not okay, it's a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Speak out, let you voice be heard. It's time to let youth know that help is available and that there are other options.
