Youth Outdoors introduces inner city youth groups to structured outside activites. The staff of YO plan the outdoor events and the volunteers help support the program by giving an extra hand where needed but mostly mingling with the youth who participate. The volunteer chooses how much time is given and is free to pick and choose what activity they wish to join. I love interacting with the youths. Their stories are many and diverse. My volunteer time has always been most rewarding. I highliy recommend volunteering with Youth Outdoors. It's a great way to visit the various places within Cleveland Metroparks and a wonderful opportunity to connect with youth!
