Mission Statement

Our mission is to keep our local rivers as free of debris and contaminates as possible. We do this through river cleanups like the Boardman River Clean Sweep (BRCS).

Description

The Boardman River Clean Sweep (BRCS) is an annual event of the Traverse Area Paddle Club (TAPC). Some 100 people work on cleaning the river and adjacent areas. This will be our 6th annual event.

The event takes place in June and July. The first event this year is June 5th, 2010. We will clean many sections of the river on one morning and then have a picnic and raffle.

The next event is July 9th, 2010 during and in conjunction with the National Cherry Festival.
