Mission Statement

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life Frisco is a life-changing event that gives everyone in the community (and surrounding areas) a chance to celebrate the lives of the people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against this disease, with one voice on one very special night.

Description

Relay For Life Frisco is a fun-filled family friendly event where people gather to celebrate survivorship, remember and honor those who have been lost, and fight back by raising money for research and community programs offered by the American Cancer Society - programs that provide assistance, support and information to those battling cancer, as well as advocating cancer awareness to the entire community.

During Relay, teams of 15 people commit to taking turns, walking around the track and trying to keep at least one member of the team on the field at all times. Teams also set up campsites where team members gather to rest, visit with other Relayers, grab a snack or engage in a little competitive game of Guitar Hero.

Relay For Life Frisco is an overnight event, because cancer never sleeps. It's a way for the community to come together and exclaim in one, clear voice - "Not one more birthday shall be lost to cancer."

Relay For Life Frisco is looking for people to volunteer on the night of the event. We need people to form teams or assist the committee with various planning functions. We also have a special opportunity this year for volunteers to be a part of a one in a lifetime cancer research study, CPS3.

Please join us a be a part of a magical night for so many who have been touched by cancer.
