Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
A Passion for Paws Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) certified
non-profit dedicated to saving the lives of Akitas and other
large breeds that have lost hope of finding a new home
while awaiting death. We are a NO KILL rescue organization
that survives entirely on donations. We are these shelter
dogs' last hope!
Event Volunteers: We hold monthly adoption event in various locations in SoCal and always need people who can help handle dogs and keep their dog happy and our of trouble for the duration of the event!
Kennel Volunteers: We have many dogs in boarding and in foster care who need constant interaction. We need people to help walk, play and cuddle time with our dogs. They need one on one attention.
Foster Homes: Open your home to one of our orphan dogs. Dogs in foster homes have a better chance of being adopted and will have a better assessment due to being in a home. We provide all supplies needed! You provide home, love and attention.
Fundraising Experts: Our core group is very busy caring for dogs and working on adoptions. We need someone or a couple people who can work specifically on raising funds for our dogs. We are 100% non-profit and depend solely on donations for our dogs.
Vet or Vet Tech Volunteer: Anyone with extensive experience who can come by and check the dogs peridically for health issues. Maybe provide low cost vaccines?
Street Team: People to help pass out business cards is field related places (ie grooming, vet offices, etc) Help us get more adoptions by getting our group out there and known in the community.
Donations: We specialize in Akitas and large breeds so we are always in need of food, treats, dog beds, blankets, and toy donations. These items really help our dogs feel safe while adjusting to life oustide abuse, neglect, abandonment and shelters. We also always take in monetary donations. All donations are tax deductible.
Trainer or Student Trainer Volunteers: Put your skills to the test! Some of our dogs have survived many horrible circumstances and we welcome anyone with knowledge to help us rehab them and get them into a home. Only know basic commands? No problem! Most of our dogs do not know their basic commands and it would be great for them to learn!
