We serve the emotional, spiritual and physical needs of our associates , patients and families with a sense of compassion, urgency and customer service. We will preserve the dignity of death for our patients and families so that no one will ever die on pain or alone. We will create a culture that is dedicated to the alleviation of human suffering which finds expression through the ongoing gentle acts of kindness, sympathy and compassion. We will serve, educate and support our local communities and referral sources as to the benefits, dignity and nobility of end of life care. We will grow a vibrant business that delivers exceptional care, customer service and financial performance.
Hospice is a program of supportive services for terminally ill patients and their families. An interdisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, home health aides, chaplains, therapists, and volunteers work together to provide individualized services. All team members are trained in pain and symptom management and in providing emotional support to the patient and family.
Hospice neither prolongs life nor hastens death. Rather, its goal is to affirm life and encourage the patient to maintain control over decisions that affect his or her quality of life.
Hospice patients live in their own homes, whether they are private homes, nursing homes, hospitals or assisted living communities. When patients qualify for hospice services, the hospice team goes to them.
