Mission Statement

Graytly Inspired is a non-profit organization that plans, develops and implements projects and programs aimed at revitalizing the physical, mental and emotional state of persons affected with catastrophic illnesses including cancer and blood related immune disorders including HIV/AIDS. In order to realize this purpose, Graytly Inspired has developed a comprehensive approach to providing social services which include low cost/subsidized transportation to medical appointments, pickup and delivery of prescribed medications for patients and providing handcrafted recovery items such as socks, blankets, linens, beddings, bracelets and bookmarks made by volunteers.

Description

Each year, we will select several organization/agencies and/or doctors to work with and provide their clients/patients with handcrafted recovery items, low cost/subsidized transportation to medical appointments, and pick up and delivery of prescribed medications. These agencies and doctors work with clients/patients who have been diagnosed with a catastrophic illness. When possible certain handcrafted gifts such as bracelets, necklaces, bookmarks and magnets will be donated to these agencies employees and volunteers.

We also have 2 programs called Nice Place and HandUP. In Nice Place, we will decorate a room in a hospital or home for persons who are ill and without a space that evokes love and safe haven. We desire to provide a room that creates an atmosphere where loving arms wrap around the inhabitant and hold them during their personal journey. HandUP will assist people who have hit a bump that has become an insurmountable hill. Each of us knows about climbing a hill as it gets higher and higher. We know how a hand up can get us to the other side. HandUP is about helping during hard times.
