About Us The Affiliate Board of the Leukemia Research Foundation (Jr. Board) is a group of young professionals committed to supporting the Foundation’s mission to conquer leukemia. Together, we’re dedicated to advancing research for a cure and improving the lives of those affected by leukemia. The Affiliate Board comprises individuals in the early stages of their careers and provides opportunities to connect, socialize, and fundraise for a meaningful cause. Why Join Our Affiliate Board? Social Media Ambassador for the ABC7 Gibbons 5K Run Leukemia Research Foundation Description: Join our team as a Social Media Ambassador and help spread the word about the ABC7 Gibbons 5K Run! This role allows you to use your social media influence to amplify our mission to support leukemia research and patient programs. Responsibilities: Share provided content on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok 2-3 times per week to boost awareness. Engage with our posts and encourage friends to support or share. Create original posts or stories about the event (with pre-approval) to help reach a wider audience. How You’re Making a Difference: By sharing our mission, you’re directly contributing to the Leukemia Research Foundation’s efforts to fund groundbreaking research, support patients and families, and educate the public about leukemia. Your voice on social media helps us reach more people, inspire action, and ultimately bring us closer to a world without leukemia. Requirements: Active presence on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. A commitment to helping us reach our community and spread awareness. While we are ideally looking for people in the Chicago Metro area, this position can be fully remote and as such does not have geographical limitations.

You'll assist in creating engaging posts, sharing updates, and interacting with our online community. Event Management: Play a crucial role in organizing events. This includes coordinating logistics, managing schedules, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Future Event Planning: Contribute to the planning of future events, including a spring social fundraising event. Your ideas and input will be valuable in creating memorable experiences for our supporters. Content Creation: Assist in creating videos and selecting photos to develop a social media calendar for our Run + Walk event in May/June 2025. Help shape our overall marketing plan to maximize engagement and participation.
