Mission Statement
A mentorship program to teach children from 10 to 18 to read in a one on one situation one hour per week at El Centro del Barrio
Description
Referrals will be made by Los Angeles City and County agencies of children needing help with literacy. We need volunteers to commit to one day a week for six months to work with the child and with backup advise from either Family Preservation Network, Gang Reduction and Youth Development Program Ramparts Area, Family Source Center or LCSW Clinical Director serving at-risk-youth and families for over 30 years, a 501 (c) (3) Not-for-Profit Community Based Organization.
