Mission Statement
Singers Forum is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development and appreciation of the vocal arts for individuals of any age or level of experience and from all walks of life. Founded in 1978, the school is built on the philosophy of personal achievement and artistic development through vocal training, performance and community service.
Description
Vocal training is conducted through individual lessons, group classes and workshops. Performan is a key to the learning experience. The school offers approximately 25 free performances each year to the public. Student singers and volunteers also perform throughout the year at communty organizations, hospitals and nursing homes. When funding is available, scholarship assistance is provided to "at risk" youth. Currently, SF works with Actors' Equity to provide discounted lessons to union members.
All SF teachers are working professionals in the musical thetare, opera, concert or cabaret communities.
