The House of Faith, Inc.

Description

The House of Faith, Inc. is a transitional residence which provides range of supportive services to homeless adults transitioning to independent living. Clients participate in the program for varying lengths of time, depending on their individual goals and the time needed to accomplish these goals. All clients are required to participate various life skills workshops, monthly residential meetings and other events designed to enhance their social experience and their interpersonal and social skills.

Clients also perform weekly tasks in the residence and work intensively with their case manager to develop individual service plans, budgets and savings plans to help them to transition more effectively to independent living upon graduation. The program offers clients valuable opportunities for personal and social growth within an atmosphere of respect, dignity and a small community setting.

The program also includes supportive services in terms of the coordination of services from other areas such as education, employment, financial guidance, health care and legal services. In these and many other ways our program helps to empower our clients to move out of cycles of poverty and deprivation and to take greater responsibility for their futures. We believe that combining loving compassion and a structure which helps each client to develop increased discipline and responsibility creates the conditions for success for each client.
