Mission Statement
Goodwill GoodGuides is a national youth mentoring initiative that helps youth build career plans and skills as they prepare for school completion, post-secondary training, and productive work by providing structured and supportive relationships with trusted adult mentors. Team members from 56 local Goodwills in 38 states are engaging community partners and volunteer mentors to support youth between the ages of 12 and 17 and their families.
Description
The GoodGuides Youth Mentoring Program is apart of a national mentoring initiative to help at-risk youth 16 & 17 years of age and support them in making positive choices, contribute to the community and explore health career options. The youth will participate in age appropriate activities, ie. job readiness, conflict resolution and service learning to promote preparations for post-secondary success. This program is very needs and career focused. The Mentors and Youth are required to meet a minimum of six hours a month.
