Description

We are a walk in clinic that strives to keep persons with simple medical needs out of the local area emergency rooms. We are open when we have volunteer physicians available. The normal hours of operation are Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30 to 5:00. We register patients upon their arrival and volunteers create them a medical chart. Nurses do intake and vital signs. The physician assesses the patient's medical needs and writes orders for treatment. Nurses then educate the patient in proper usage of their medication and monitoring continued medical needs. We offer education to patients with Diabetes, Hypertension, Asthma and Pulmonary disease. We have a counselor available to those patients that need help to deal with everyday stress or spiritual counsel. We have a Social Worker that makes referrals and offers information on available area resources. Housekeeping is done after each day of clinic. We have volunteers that input information from the patient's medical chart into our computer data system. We operate completely on donations, grants and fundraising events.
