Girls Incorporated of Jacksonville (GIJ) is a nonprofit education and prevention program for children and youth. GIJ offers after-school, summer activities and outreach programs to those in at risk under-served areas. It is a community-based program, serving over 1,000 members annually at Centers in their neighborhoods.
The Girls Club of Jacksonville began as a project of the Pilot Club of Jacksonville, was incorporated in 1970 and became affiliated with the Girls Clubs of America in 1971. In 1990, Girls Clubs changed their name to Girls Incorporated on national and local levels.
GIJ provides daily adult supervision for children ages 5-18. Using curriculum researched; developed and tested by Girls Incorporated National, our prevention and education program are diverse.
