Mission Statement

Red Chemistry’s mission is to produce film festivals that are designed to educate the public about the work of little-known filmmakers, to support the work of film students through their participation in film festivals and to expand the scope of the festival’s activities to venues throughout Florida. We strive to help the children and teenagers in the community to develop their creative abilities as well as their appreciation of the arts.

Description

Red Chemistry was created as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2007. The organization has its base in Miami, Florida, a mecca of the national and international film industry. Over the last three years, its feature programs, Romance in a Can (RIAC) and Miami International Kids Entertainment (M.I.K.E) have offered engaging film festivals that featured close to 75 French films, and worked with close to 500 youth. Red Chemistry is aiming to become a mainstay of the cultural arts circuit in south Florida for decades to come.
