Mission Statement
What-A-Day, Inc. has a mission to provide supportive assistance in a protective and caring environment for clients that need it most - senior citizens, mentally impaired citizens, and physically impaired citizens. The caring group environment we provide will allow them to maintain their independence, and also prevent premature institutionalization. We assist our clients to remain healthy and to stay in their own communities as long possible. We also provide respite for caregivers. Our goals are to continue to expand our programs for the population we serve, and to increase the scope of services we make available to them.
Description
What-A-Day-Health Care, Inc. (Agency) is a 501 (c) (3) community-based adult day health care program (ADC), established in 1999, to meet the needs of the growing elderly and functionally disabled population in Clayton County, and contiguous areas such as Henry and Fayette counties. Our services include an array of health and supportive services, social programs, meals, recreational activities, exercises, and respite for care givers, for participants with a primary diagnosis such as, Alzheimer’s or other dementias, Multiple Sclerosis, diabetes, hypertension, autism, brain injury, chronic mental illness, or developmental disabilities or for post-stroke participants, etc.
We also offer participants the opportunity to socialize, enjoy peer support, and have health and social needs met in a stimulating and supportive environment that promotes better physical and mental health. Our core services are outline as follows: adult day care, meals, therapeutic, restorative, and supportive services, social recreation, and individualized care management, which is continually adjusted to meet clients’ needs.
Additionally, transportation services are provided and are key components for ADC clients and other citizens who are in need of transportation for non-medical trips (physicians’ offices, ADC, dialysis, and other medical or therapeutic services, etc.)
