Description

MAPS 4 College (MAPS) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that helps students graduate from high school, get accepted to a college, attend and graduate from college, gain job readiness skills, find a satisfying career and acquire life sustaining skills. MAPS acronym stands for Motivate to strive for excellence, Achieve to help the community-at-large, Personal commitment to transcend perceived limits, Speak the truth and change the world.

MAPS takes a holistic approach to college and workforce readiness. The staff not only educates students about going to college, but counsels them as they pursue practical workforce skills. In addition to helping students graduate from high school and college, MAPS targets core issues that the students face and help them combat such issues whether they are low self-esteem, stress due to parental and school demands, social acceptance, developing friendships and relationships, drugs and alcohol, low grade point average, or other personal/social dynamic with which they need help.
