Mission Statement
To enrich the educational opportunities in the schools of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD as a leader and innovator in public education through a broad-based system of community support.
Description
In 1997, community leaders created the non-profit C-FB ISD Educational Foundation to enrich opportunities with the district schools.
Today, the Educational Foundation offers annual grants and scholarships to students and teachers that:
*Promote academic excellence
*Stimulate creative thinking
*Encourage innovation
*Broaden life experiences
*Enrich classroom teaching
Since its inception, the Educational Foundation has awarded over $1.2 million in the form of student scholarships, teacher grants, student enrichment grants and district program and campus grants.
These grants and scholarships have enriched public education in our community by:
*Encouraging academic excellence in the school district by providing funding not available through traditional local, state and federal resources
*Provided a perpetual source of funds through endowed gifts established by generous donors
*Served as a catalyst and conduit for involving the six communities which are served by C-FB ISD
* Ensured that as many schools in the district as possible have the opportunity to receive funds for an appropriate program each school year
