Mission Statement

To take the historic 83rd running of the BACARDI Cup and expand upon it to welcome and involve the general public thru social and cultural events. this new event is called Miami Sailing Week. Our mission is to make a lasting and meaningful argument for the establishment of the Coconut Grove bay front as a world center of sailing.

In turn, Miami Sailing Week will work hand in hand with St.Stephens Outreach Programs, Shake-A-Leg Miami, and the Veterans affairs department.

Description

2010 will mark the first annual BACARDI Miami Sailing Week

(BMSW). The event will be a six-day experience that will gather

National and International sailing classes and personalities

together in a historic and fun-filled week of regattas, awards

-ceremonies, parties, and cultural exhibits. BMSW will also host

an art show by photographer Corey Silken (free to the public).

The racing begins on Monday, March 8, 2010 with events

scheduled daily through Saturday, March 13, 2010. The prestigious

83 rd running of the BACARDI Cup will be the main feature event

of the weeklong regattas.
