Mission Statement

The mission statement for Health World is to promote health education and provide children with the information they need to build healthy lives.

Description

Health World is a not-for profit, children's health museum. The museum is 85,000 sq. ft with over 200 hands-on exhibits. There are 5 class rooms where classes are taught by Health World's own educators. Our library resource center has reference materials for parents and teachers. Children will enjoy the different sections of the library that are divided up according to the sections on the exhibit floor with wonderful books that have all kinds of information. Georgi's Cafe is a great place to have lunch. The gift shop has great educational items for all ages and all prices. Teachers will find great items for the class room. Wonderful gift ideas for everyone. For groups interested in making a field trip to the museum contact guest relations.

Health World is all outreach all the time. They provide wonderful health and safety programs in the school's classrooms. As of June 2006 the museum is no longer operating. They continue to educate children about health and safety with their outreach programs and summer camps.
