Mission Statement

Our goal is to be there to meet every need of veterans and active duty service members and their families that we possibly can. Whether those needs are informational, monetary, social or others. We will continue to stand strong as a Band of Brothers seeking to improve the lives of our members and the Veteran community at large. The needs are many, and resources limited, but we strive to make the greatest impact possible with every dollar and man hour.

Our scholarship program helps Veterans or dependents to ease the transition from military to college life.

Our direct emergency financial relief efforts have helped with unexpected medical bills, transportation costs for disabled Veterans, home improvements for vets with special needs, and even to help families stay in contact with injured loved ones that have not yet returned to the states, just to name a few.

We dream of continuing to be a beacon of hope as a resource and a voice for our generation of veterans and to be an example for generations yet to come.

Who are the Desert Vets?

What drives us... As one of our members stated recently, "This is what we are about: Vets helping other Vets." As a group we are working to create a social atmosphere that encourages Veterans and military personnel to address issues and continue serving our communities any way we can.

People... The Desert Veterans of Wiscosnin is comprised of Veterans and military personnel who either served overseas, are currently serving, or were honorably discharged from any of our military branches. Any person meeting one of these guidelines is welcome as a new member.

The Organization... The organization meets monthly to discuss current issues concerning Veterans and military personnel. New members and visitors are always welcome!

Join Us! Meetings are held the last Wednesday of every month at the Sports corner, DePere, WI 54511

Honorably discharged Veterans of all eras are welcome to join, or just drop by to see what we're about.
