Mission Statement

Educational Resources for Children, Inc. (ERfC) teams with kids, communities, schools, and families to grow resilient kids. Through innovative community collaborations, we help kids learn, reach their goals, and contribute to their communities.


ERfC (Educational Resources for Children, Inc.) is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization established in 1994 to provide quality out-of-school time programs for children and their families in Enfield, CT.

ERfC operates four Before & After School-Age Centers; one middle school Center--all located in Enfield Public Schools. ERfC School-Age Centers are licensed by the CT Department of Early Childhood Education and provide academic, recreational and enrichment activities for children ages K-8. The elementary School-Age Centers operate from 3-6 PM Monday through Friday.

The JFK School-Age Center operates from 2:30-6 PM Monday through Friday. Students in all Centers spend 50 minutes in supervised homework time. The balance of program time is spent in a variety of out-of-school time activities including digital media, STEM, arts & crafts, sports and games, writing, dance, and theatre.
