Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
To rescue cats and kittens from the "kill list" at local animal shelters and to take in homeless animals. We do all necessary veterinary work on the animals before they are adopted. This includes testing for feline leukemia and FIV and neutering all adult cats and obtaining neuter contracts on all kittens. Our goal is to find good, permanent homes for them where they will have a loving and secure enironment. We are a private, non-profit cat rescue organization. We are funded entirely by adoption revenues and donations. Donations are used for care and maintenance of the animals. Our future goals are to get enough money to purchase a mobile surgical vehicle to conduct spay/neuter clinics around the area, and to have our own shelter so that we could save more animals. The Cat Connection is not related in any way to the Michigan Humane Society or any other shelter.
