Swap-O-Rama-Rama is a clothing swap and series of do-it-yourself workshops in which a community explores creative reuse through the recycling of used clothing.

Description

Bring in all those abandoned clothes from the back of your closet, swap them for something new and then get creative! At Swap-O-Rama-Rama you get access to everything from sewing machines to silk screens, and all the supplies and coaching you'll need to make an amazing garment, some new accessories, or anything you can dream up!

I volunteered at Swap-O-Rama-Rama last time it was in Chicago and I can't wait to do it again this year. I had a great tim, met lots of interesting people and picked up some fabulous ideas for restyling my wardrobe. It felt good to know that I was helping people figure out ways to recycle clothes instead of buying new ones. You won't believe all the stations they have and the energy and enthusiasm of everyone involved. My advice -- DO IT!
