The folks who work for Red Feather are really passionate about what they do, and they do their best to make the experience a good one for volunteers that includes meaningful work, cultural understanding and some down time. This is an organization worthy of your time, effort and money that is making a different in Native American communities.

Plastering the exterior stone walls of Hopi homes alongside families and neighborhood kids, was a memorable and inspiring experience. Lead by Red Feather's sister organization, KiiNatWanLalwa, the meals, activities, and work were all well-planned providing a wonderful cultural/people connecting opportunity. I hope this Palwitota happens again in 2013 or sooner! Ask'qwali!

I have, and will continue to recommend this organization to friends & colleagues. Red Feather is the most well run volunteer organization I have ever had the privilege to be part of. It is volunteering at its best. You get the opportunity to learn not only new skills and share your existing ones, but you learn about different cultures. You have the wonderful experience of meeting people of all ages from all over the US (sometimes even from abroad) and sharing hard work, laughter, learning, and new experiences. Staff members are incredibly supportive, approachable, and knowledgeable (they clearly love their work).

Experienced builders with excellent logistical support. Volunteer coordinators and managers are very skilled and very fun to work with, as were the other volunteers on the 'build' that I attended. Red Feather is very adept at accommodating ALL skill levels, there is something for everybody. My entire experience was wholly positive from start to completion.
