Mission Statement
To promote the safety of children and prevent child abuse and neglect by raising community awareness, influencing public policy, educating our community, and providing resources.
Description
We accomplish this through our programs -
Community Education - We hold several activities that promote the intervention and prevention of child abuse, such as Mandated Reporter Training, our bi-monthly Council meetings, and community wide education.
Building Strong Families - As co-chairs of the Marin Counties Family Strengthening Network we advocate for activities and program improvements that will support families and parents to be resilient, make social connections, better understand parenting and child development, get concrete support in times of need, and improving children’s social and emotional development.
Community Resources - We have been providing information to the community since 1997. We strive to provide quality and diverse information to families and the community.
Data Gathering and Advocacy - Through activities such as out participation in the county wide Child Death Review Team and gathering data and information available we can understand the impact our efforts make for positive changes in our community.
