To create the awareness of the social, political, economic and cultural reality that will enable Latinos to develop critical thinking and knowledge for further growth as individuals so that they play a more active role and use the existing resources and create more to contribute to the positive development of our communities.

Description

Latino Organization of the Southwest in conjuction with other organization in the state of Illinois are working on the New Americans Initiative with the goal that all eligible legal residents apply for citizenship. This organization also offers English classes, GED and computer literacy. Public benfits assistance, CEDA/LIHEAP and different workshops to help the community.
