Faxon Animal Rescue League

Description

The Animal Rescue League of Fall River was founded in 1913 by members of the Women's Club of Fall River who decided the City needed a humane organization to help overworked and abused draft horses. Through the years the purpose of the League envolved to assist unwanted animals of all types. Besided operating the shelter, the League conducts educational programs, clinics and other public awareness activities to help improve the quality of life for all animals. All animals brought to the League's shelter are evaluated for health and temperament. Cats are tested for feline leukemia virus and dogs are heartworm tested. Animals available for adoption are current on their basic inoculations.
