Friends of the Farm mission is to manage the over all operation of the Lewis Oliver Farm including animal care, property maintenance and raising the funds through necessary to execute on our mission. All animal related costs are funded solely through private donations and through the money raised at our special fundraising events.

Friends of the Farm is a volunteer based, not for profit/ 501C organization.

Friends of the Farm, a 501c3 not for profit organization, is the dynamic force in the maintenance, care and feeding of the resident animals at the Lewis Oliver Farm in Northport Village, Long Island, NY. The Lewis Oliver Farm is a cherished , historical community landmark and gathering place for generations of families and friends in and around the Northport area.

Friends of the Farm is a volunteer based organization. All animal care related costs are funded solely through private donations and through money raised at Friends of the Farm-hosted special fundraising events.

The Lewis Oliver Farm is a small scale farm with over 50 animals. Every animal has their own personality and it is fun to get to know them. You create a bond with them as if they are you own companions. The people are very friendly and helpful. It is an amazing starter job for people looking to gain animal experience for veterinary applications.
